Little update on the 50thiest anniversary of the 1968 movement. 🙂
This exhibition proved to be a very resourceful treasure when it comes to the phenomenon of Zeitgeist in fashion. It has been almost two years since my visit to this exhibition in London at the V&A.
And this year there were many articles and emissions on TV, here in Zurich, covering  the 50thiest anniversary of the 1968 movement.  And it reminded me again of my observation from my V&A trip from two years ago: SO many things which errupted at that time are very current in our present day. But the trends from then, clearly evolved:
The idea of community, the consumerism and its immediacy, the exploration of new things, the escapeism into new worlds wheather by seeking for inspiration in different cultures, music or taking drugs to enhance or change ones reality.
Also the economical and environmental topics of the time, have at this point become an emergency.  The discussions…
